Case StudiesSmall Claim (Taxi Driver - Loss of Use)
A damaged taxi was off the road for 21 weeks and the taxi operator was claiming loss of profits of £12,600 based on a loss of takings. The accounting records showed that the claimant had 13 vehicles and spare capacity so that there was no loss of takings. The loss was agreed on the basis of wasted fixed costs at £1,150.
